AGWA at Barnluasgan: a venue with a difference

Barnluasgan is situated in the middle of a special area of Atlantic oakwood, which is being restored by the Forestry Commission, who own the site.
AGWA has developed a Woodland Centre around an old small holding. The site sites in its own wee fold in the hills, and is reached by an 800 metre track. It's isolated and set away on its own, without the mains services that we have become accustomed to. The perfect place for meetings and events with a difference. The Centre includes:
An old stone cottage converted into a meeting area, complete with woodburning stove and basic cooking facilities
an oak Cruck Frame barn, with open sides, which provides cover without removing a sense of the outdoors
a Norwegian style Log Loo, Argyll's first composting toilet

We use the Centre as a resource for our members, as a training place, but also as somewhere that other people can use for courses, meetings, and events.
