AGWA or AGWA members will be demonstrating pole lathing or other greenwood crafts at the following events in the next months. These demonstrations are a great opportunity to see what all the fuss is about, to meet practitioners and possibly even get a go yourself

WOODLANDS OF DALRIADA: 2007 YEAR OF HIGHLAND CULTURE
IN THE HEARTLAND OF ANCIENT SCOTLAND , A CELEBRATION OF ACCESS AND INCLUSION IN THE WOODS OF MID-ARGYLL
History, habits, land-use, wild-life and mythology, in three beautiful locations. Four days of festivities, woodcraft, walks, orienteering, story-telling, and music in and around Lochgilphead, with provision for all needs, abilities and ages. With exhibits and sales and refreshments. Gaelic interpretation. Sign Language. No Admission Fees.

Woodcraft and Orienteering and Woodland Management and History of Forestry at Kilmory Woodland Park (Argyll and Bute Council HQ) on approach to Lochgilphead (A83 from Glasgow )
Monday August 27 10-5pm
Woodcraft and Arts and Walks and Stories at Barnluasgan Forest Reserve, seven miles West of Lochgilphead (A83, A816, B841 Crinan Canal road, then 1 mile South of Canal on B8025)
Tuesday August 28 10-4pm
Grand Opening of Blarbuie Woodland at Argyll and Bute Hospital , with Crafts and Music and Guided Walks. Argyll and Bute Hospital, Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead (A83 from Glasgow) - turn right up the hill at Parish Church at top of the town, park in Visitors Car Park of Mid Argyll Community Hospital or in Car Park of Argyll and Bute Hospital just beyond.
Tuesday August 28 5-8pm
Orienteering and Woodland Management at Kilmory Woodland Park , Lochgilphead – as Sunday.
Wednesday August 29 10-5pm
Event at Barnluasgan, as Monday – sawing, splitting, shaving, singing, stories, seeing, strolling, sitting, signing, scenery, squirrels, sprites and spirits and spectres….
