My working environment has always been 'The Outdoors' and woodland in particular.

Working the beauty of timbers native to the West Coast of Scotland - Oak, Elm, Yew - play a key role in the character of my finished products.

There is a great satisfaction in knowing that mighty fallen timbers can become lasting treasures in our homes and gardens.

Located near Tarbert, Derek Farrar has been ‘working with wood’ for over ten years.

Using natural materials and combining traditional skills with modern technology, Fynewood creates fine gifts and artefacts which we sell worldwide.
The majority of our orders are for personalized products, creating unique gifts.
