Touchwood

A finished piece of wood should be touched as well as looked at. It is a tactile thing and will satisfy many of the senses. All things become important - the form, the colour and figure of the wood, the context in which the piece will be seen, the proportion of the piece and the decoration (if any) which would include carving, texturing, scorching and colouring.

touchwood

The humble bowl can be a simple wooden container or it can be an artistic centre piece, sensual, striking and naturally beautiful.

The colour of yew, the grain of elm, the strength of oak , ...all can be seen in a single piece.

An object of character and beauty for you to enjoy and an heirloom to be used and appreciated for generations.
